It Served Me Well

Tomorrow sees the arrival of a swanky new cooker into the Simply Homemade kitchen. It’s all very exciting, minus the cost of it of course! I should be annoyed at having to replace my current one, but I can’t be. That cooker served me well, it was exactly what I wanted when we purchased it in 2005. We bought it before speaking to anybody about our kitchen, the kitchen would simply be built around it.

I couldn’t possibly tell you the number of delights that have emerged from the ovens of this cooker, there have been very few days over the last 10 years when it hasn’t been on. It has served not only as a cooker and baker but has even kept us warm on cold winter days whilst a loaf has been baking away inside. Here is a brief little history of my time with my beloved cooker.

Countless loaves of bread.

My kitchen has an always will be the heart of my home and I have enjoyed cooking every cake, every loaf of bread, every meal that has been produced in it whether it was a party, a family meal, a normal day or a lazy Sunday brunch. And with the arrival of my new beast cooker, I am looking forward to continuing as I started in my Simply Homemade kitchen.
