Netflix is coming up trumps with the current menu for foodies! There is something for everyone from the oldest to the youngest in the family. We’ve all been salivating at the tv screen at some stage recently as we ogle the delicious delights being conjured up on screen.
So What Are We Watching?
Sugar Rush joined the Netflix family back in July. Four teams of two professional bakers compete against each other to win $10,000. They have to think fast, bake faster! The show is presented by Hunter March, with regular judges Candace Nelson and Adriano Zumbo. Each episode then has a guest judge who brings the theme of the show with them. I thoroughly enjoyed every episode of this, so much so, having watched it with the children, I rewatched it by myself!
Comic Nicole Byer & renowned pastry chef Jaques Torres are the host/judge on Netflix original, Nailed It. Each episode they are also joined by a guest judge.
The aim of the game is simple, three contestants who happen to be not so masterful bakers, try to recreate magnificent cakes and confections. The winner walks away with $10,000.
Nailed It is hilarious! We’ve watched it, the children are re-watching it and they’ve been known to pick an episode for something funny to watch before bed!
I really enjoy watching culinary icon Martha Stewart creating delicious bakes in her series which is currently streaming.
Zumbo’s Just Desserts
Hosted by Adriano Zumbo (Sugar Rush) and Rachel Khoo, this is yet another enthralling baking contest. What is it about baking contests? We get so caught up in them!
The Great British Bake Off
The original and the best. My youngest two are watching all 7 seasons! They love it. And I must admit, it is quite nice to catch up with old episodes.
There is, of course, a wealth of foodie shows on Netflix, these just happen to be the ones we’re enjoying at the moment.
Before I go
Check out what’s coming in September.
