Jack was looking forward to watching Caoimhe play violin with their schools orchestra in the National Opera House here in Wexford. However, he was struck down with croup, as he often is, and so was unable to go. He wasn’t best pleased so I figured compensation for missing the event was in order.
I made popcorn, spiced chickpeas & yummy fruit & nut chocolate bites.
Fruit & Nut Chocolate Bites
100g Dark Chocolate, I used 75%
100g Mixed Fruit & Nuts, I used Goji Berries, Raisins, Dessicated Coconut, Almonds & Pecan Nuts.
Line a small tray with parchment paper. Melt the chocolate in a bowl over a saucepan of boiling water, stir in the fruit and nuts, spread the mixture as thin as you can over parchment lined tray and leave to set in the freezer for at least 30 minutes. Then using a sharp knife cut into bitesize pieces. These are delicious!
Jack preferred the popcorn & chickpeas to the chocolate, he really enjoyed the movie though, he even said he would watch it again.
Abbie loves The Bubble Guppies, her favourite episode being The Cowgirl Parade. She knows the words to the songs by heart.
We’re a bit late coming to the Orange is the New Black party but currently watching that, we’ve also been watching The Fixer & House of Cards; Suits has been recommended and I’ve been highly impressed with the trailer for Bloodline which launched on March 20th, and was promptly added to our ‘List’
I’m also watching foodie documentaries still and Fat Sick & Nearly Dead 2 is next on my list of those to watch.
One thing is for sure, with Netflix, we will never be short of things to watch!
As a member of the Netflix Stream Team I have received a complimentary one year Netflix membership along with an Apple Tv. I will in turn be featuring Netflix related blog posts. All opinions are my own!
