I’m not quite sure how we would have stayed sane with the horrendous weather we’ve had over the last couple of months had it not been for Netflix. We had some lovely afternoons snuggled up in front of the fire watching movies with the children, what winter months are made for surely.
All of the children (okay….and me too!!) are Toy Story fans, for the two smallest ones, it was their first time watching and they were enthralled by Woody, Buzz & Co. All three Toy Story movies are available to view now and make for a highly entertaining afternoon or two.
The children have also watched Up, Chicken Run, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh and Planes.
The smaller children have been delighted with Ben & Holly’s Little Kingdom, a second series of Peppa Pig, Dino Trux, the charming Ella the Elephant with her magic hat and catchy theme tune, and of course Harry’s beloved Paw Patrol.
The older kids (when they can get control of the coveted remote) have been watching Richie Rich, The Haunted Hathaways and Bindi’s Bootcamp.
Once Upon a Time has become a firm favourite with the teen.
I thoroughly enjoyed Saving Mr. Banks, it captured my attention but wasn’t heavy viewing either. I’d certainly recommend it, it gives fascinating insight to the life of P.L. Travers, the lady who created Mary Poppins. Colin Farrell, cast as the authors father, gives a fantastic performance.
Along with the rest of the world it would seem, Mr. Simply Homemade & I are currently serving time, well 10 hours at least, with Steven Avery as we watch over the bizarre events that unfolded in Netflix Docu-series Making A Murderer. I have to admit, I wasn’t sure this would be something I would really watch, but I am addicted, as is himself beside me on the couch. This is real ‘wow’ stuff, with a few ‘What the eff’s’ thrown in as well; highly highly recommended viewing if you haven’t started watching it yet!
If all of that isn’t enough, there is more…….
