The tantalising smells of mouth-watering food will lead food lovers from all over to the heart of Wexford town this weekend, 24th-27th May, where the fourth annual Wexford Food & Wine Festival will take place.
The Festival kicks off on Thursday evening with a Wine Dinner & Auction in La Marine, Kelly’s Resort Hotel in aid of St Patrick’s Special School in Enniscorthy.
On Friday evening, in the Talbot Hotel, TV Chef Phelim Byrne, will host a new event, the Wexford Circle of Chefs, which features nine of Wexford’s best chefs demonstrating range of signature dishes and providing culinary tips for budding cooks.
Selskar Square and The Bullring will play host to a myriad of food producers, including Atlantis Seafood, D’Lush Café, Fosters Chocolates, Kate’s Farm Shop & Furlongs Family Butcher, to name just a few, on Saturday from 10am-5pm and on Sunday from 12pm-5pm.
Other events include a celebration of Chocolate, a Seafood Barbecue, free workshops, A Jazz brunch and a Bronze Age Cookery Demonstration in the Irish National Heritage Park.
