The latest Netflix Stream Team newsletter could not have been more apt for the month that’s in it with the fantastic result in the Marriage Equality Referendum; it focuses on families, which come in all different shapes and sizes.
The once traditional 2 point 4 family has changed – start with parents (maybe two dads or mums, a single mum, or a stay at home dad…), add half/step/full/adopted siblings with close friends and pets (that are like family to us). The more the merrier! Now you’ve got a contemporary family – each uniquely quirky – yet perfect in its own way.
With a host of family shows now streaming on Netflix, there is something for every family to get together and watch.

Netflix is great for family movie nights, Caoimhe & Jack had us all watch Paul Blart, Mall Cop last week, I have to admit I wasn’t enthralled but the two of them giggled their way through it.
Abbie & I curled up together at 4am the other morning (yes, you did read that right, fairies don’t sleep at night you know!) and watched Cinderella, it took me right back and she absolutely loved it, so much so, she watched it again later that day.
There are so many things to watch on Netflix at the minute, Mr. S/H & I are watching this more than regular tv nowadays, actually we all are.
We are eager to finish season 2 of Orange is the New Black in time for season 3 which starts streaming on June 12th #cantwait
Piper, Red, Crazy Eyes, Taystee, Poussey, Sophia, Nicky, Daya, Gloria, Big Boo, Pennsatucky and all of Litchfield’s ladies are back for more drama and laughter…as Alex makes her return and a new inmate, Stella (Ruby Rose) joins the gang.
Chloé has been reading Of Mice and Men as part of her school curriculum, and was delighted to be able to watch the movie on Netflix.
Caoimhe and Jack are watching The Next Step and Pokemon.
Harry is still watching Fireman Sam, though he’s moving on to Thomas the Tank Engine too; and Abbie was beside herself with excitement when we switched on Netflix one day last week and she spotted The Very Hungry Caterpillar, she loves the book, and was engrossed in this and the other tales.
I think you will agree, Netflix are offerring a wealth of excellent viewing for everyone in the family.
