Stranger Things

A love letter to the supernatural classics of the 80’s, Stranger Things is the story of a young boy who vanishes into thin air. As friends, family and local police search for answers, they are drawn into an extraordinary mystery involving top-secret government experiments, terrifying supernatural forces and one very strange little girl.

Stranger Things stars none other than Winona Ryder, ladies and gents of a certain age group will be very familiar with Winona, it’s great to see her back on our screens.

Orange Is The New Black

If you haven’t caught up with the 4th season of #OITNB, what are you waiting for? If you thought season 3 saw things take a bit of a dip in Litchfield, fear not, they are back on form with season 4 with some great twists and turns; and an emotional shocker!

Bloodline

Personally I thought Bloodline was slow to start in series 1 but I stuck with it and quickly became hooked. Wow, the Rayburn family have issues! Series 2 is now streaming and I am delighted to tell you it will be back for a third season.

TV Series

All 7 series of Gilmore Girls are currently streaming before new episodes come to Netflix later this year.

Thomas the Tank Engine

I can’t begin to explain the levels of excitement in our house when the smallest boy discovered the selection of Thomas the Tank available at the moment on Netflix. He is ecstatic!

Word Party

Word Party is a vocabulary building show from The Jim Henson Company that follows four adorable baby animals as they sing, dance and play. The show invites our youngest viewers to help teach the baby animals new words, practice these new words themselves, and celebrate these achievements with a “Word Party!”

Home: Adventures with Tipp & Oh

This series takes up where the movie left off with Oh moving in with Tipp and her family.

Movies

The Fault in our Stars

Two teens meet a a cancer support group, and together they face the challenge of building a relationship under the shadow of terminal illness.

Belle

A period drama based on fact, Belle traces the life of a biracial girl born to a British father and African mother.

Documentaries

Forks over Knives and Forks over Knives  Presents: The Engine 2 Kitchen Rescue. I am really looking forward to curling up on the couch, green tea in hand, kids sleeping soundly and getting stuck into these healthy eating documentaries.

The Kids Menu

Featuring Joe Cross of Fat Sick & Nearly Dead, this documentary reveals hope in the fight against the current, frightening childhood obesity epidemic. This really is a must watch.
