What Caught My Eye

What Caught My Eye #4

How are you all this week? I hope you’ve a cuppa to hand a few quiet moments to yourself to see what I’ve been perusing online this week.

My daughter has become vegetarian and so I’ve been researching more tasty veggie dishes for her. These smashed potatoes with garlic pesto sound absolutely delicious.

I was reading through this list of 34 Classic Coming of Age Books and was very much aware of how few I’ve actually read.ย I’d love to rectify that so will be adding some to my reading list.

I often get dry skin and for me personally I find natural products kinder to my skin. This list of Natural Dry Skin Remedies has some very interesting options.

It was never my intention to share posts from my own blog here, however, this week I reviewed a wonderful book called Long Hat is a Hero. I wish I’d had this book many years ago, it would have been so beneficial to us as parents to a child with High Sensitivity and I also think it is wonderful to make people aware of High Sensitivity; this is a genuine trait and really isn’t an adult or child being fussy or troublesome.

Do you think we are experiencing The Rise of the Chocolate Snob? I really think a person’s chocolate preference comes down to taste. Personally, I love dark chocolate so I reckon any of the chocolate mentions in that article would appeal to me so you know…..My address is….I jest!

Last weekend Wolff set out on an epic adventure visiting 10 capital cities across Europe in 10 days recording a video for his song Hey Now in each one. This video is great, what a super achievement.

If you are looking for an alternative to the usual art & craft ideas for Valentine’s Day I was looking at some amazingย Valentines Experiments over at Science Wows.

I found it very interesting to read about these 10 Valentines Day traditions from around the world. I hadn’t realised that Valentine’s Day is only very new to the people of Denmark!

I’ll be back next week with more from the world wide web, have a great week!

  1. I really like this series you’ve got going. It is like a little chat.
Valentine’s Day is only a recent thing in Germany and is very much seem as pure commercialism and made fun of. My husband doesn’t celebrate it at all, which I find a bit of a pity.
