What Caught My Eye

What Caught My Eye #16

It’s that time of the week again, where you get to have a gander at some of the things I’ve seen online during the week. Enjoy!

This video, 3,000 Years Of Women’s Beauty Standards In A 3-Minute Video is sadly fascinating to watch. All women are beautiful, and all bodies should be celebrated.

The majority of women will relate to ‘losing weight for their big day’, so to read this piece from Louise McSharry, ‘Why I Didn’t Lose Weight for my Wedding Day’ is utterly refreshing and also puts an awful lot of things into perspective.

I love my home county of Wexford, no doubt about it, it’s a pretty special place to live. One Wexford man loves his home town so much he’s had it tattooed on his stomach! Now that is love!

I was really impressed with this video from The Happy Pear guys, 7 days meal prep for less than €20.

There is nothing as delicious as a lemon cake, my son loves lemon madeira in particular, however I think I’ll be experimenting with this Lemon Olive Oil Cake recipe the next time I’m baking a lemon cake.

‘The use of plastic has increased twentyfold in the past half-century, and now nearly everyone, everywhere, every day comes into contact with plastic.’ Do we even think about the amount of plastic we use? It’s something I only really started to think about recently, Plastic is Not Fantastic, it’s Time to Curb it’s Use.

Finally, an €8.99 bottle of Rosé from Aldi has been voted one of the best in the world. Are you going to Aldi today?

Have a lovely Sunday!
