Netflix Party Food

We recently had a great afternoon with the children. Netflix very kindly sent us a treasure box of goodies so we could have a party celebrating their hit kids show, Dragons: Race to the Edge. You can read all about the fun we had here.

No party would be complete without food and Netflix provided us with a menu for inspiration so working from that I conjured up a feast of treats for everyone.

Dragon Ships

More often than not I make my own bread rolls (recipe here) but as the children were excited to have their party on this occasion I bought small bread rolls and they had sausages in them. (I used Tesco Finest Irish Pork Sausages which are 80% pork.) The flags were in the Netflix Treasure Chest.

Dragon Scale Pizza

These were super quick to make. Instead of regular pizza base I used wraps. Again, I’d usually add red pesto to the base but I forgot to buy some….ooops! Instead I used tomato puree, scattered a combination of cheddar and mozzarella, added halved slices of pepperoni and another little bit of cheese. These were cooked in a few minutes in a 180C oven.

Hookfang thoroughly enjoyed the pizza!

Dragon Drumsticks

Chicken drumsticks, seasoned and roasted in a little rapeseed oil.

Dragon Lava Flow

The menu provided had some suggestions for drinks however I didn’t make any of those. Fruit juice isn’t something I buy for the children on a regular basis, so for this occasion I didn’t mind. I bought some Pineapple & Passion Fruit juice in Aldi, I’m sure Hiccup and Toothless would approve.

Dragon Wing Pancakes/Dragon Eyeball Pancakes

For dessert it was wings and eyeballs!! Okay, it was actually pancakes. I used this pancake recipe  which is a favourite with my children and is from Properfud. For the eyeball version we added blueberries. Both were naturally served with a little ice cream, purely to stop any stray dragon flames in their tracks 😉

Wings & Eyeballs!!
Wings & Eyeballs!!

After all that food, the children were full of energy and ready to run wild like the Vikings themselves!

As a member of the Netflix Stream Team I have received a complimentary one year Netflix membership along with an Apple Tv box. I will in turn be featuring Netflix related blog posts. All opinions are my own! (We received the complimentary Treasure Chest of goodies for the purposes of a screening party)
