What Caught My Eye

What Caught My Eye #12

Good Morning!!

Have you enjoyed the sunshine this week? It has been utterly glorious with more time offline than on! This weeks w.c.m.e. is short but very sweet!

I always feel overwhelmed by housework, that may sound rather precious but I do. I don’t enjoy housework; I’d rather be baking or doing something with the children or walking. I found These Easy Hacks Are The Secret To A Clean, Blissed-Out Home¬†interesting and better still, achievable.

You may have heard of PCOS (PolyCystic Ovarian Syndrome), this is a condition I have to live with. It is poorly understood despite the number of women worldwide that it affects; in fact, scientists are only just beginning to understand it. This is one of the better articles I have read about the condition.

It was a coincidence that I had been speaking to Mr. Simply Homemade about our household waste recently and then I read a synopsis of a talk by Bea Johnson which was attended by Ruth from Only Natural in Wexford. If we all started to implement small changes to reduce our waste it would make a huge difference long term.

Speaking of Ruth, she has a brand spanking new website for her gluten free bakery, Rake of Cakes; it looks gorgeous, lots of mouthwatering yumminess!

I love healthy alternatives to heavily processed treats and this Peanut Butter Fudge is just screaming to be tried!

That’s it! Short and sweet as I said, have a lovely Sunday.

  1. Thanks for sharing the link about PCOS! One of my friends was just diagnosed with it and I’ve been trying to learn more to support her. It’s unfortunate that it’s not well-understood and under-studied.

    1. You’re very welcome. It’s very good of you to learn more to support your friend, it really isn’t the easiest condition to live with and good, accurate information is often hard to come by as there is still much to learn about it but with friends like you she’s on the right road. Good on you and I wish her well x
