Welcome to Simply Homemade.

I am Nicola, wife to Mr. Simply Homemade and  Mum to our five fantastic children. We are very proud of our three girls and two boys who range in ages from 16 to 4.Simply Homemade (1)

Simply Homemade is my little piece of the internet, my little blog which was born in 2011 and initially started as a place to share recipes with family and friends.

The direction of the blog has somewhat meandered a little and while the main focus is still family food, I do now also share many of my own thoughts, the things my family and I like, the books we read, shows we watch; and of course tidbits of life from the Simply Homemade home. These days I quite like to think of Simply Homemade as my own little magazine; a feast of the things that both I and my family like; and I hope that you like it too.

Very occasionally I may receive items for the purpose of an honest review. If and when this happens, you will be aware, it will be fully disclosed and plain to see on that blog post, and most importantly that review will be genuine. Occasionally I may mention things and places that do not carry a disclosure. That means I am simply sharing something with you that I feel may be of interest to you. I have always been 100% honest on this blog and under no circumstances will that change.

If you would like to contact me, pop me an email to nicnaessens@gmail.com or fill in the form on the Contact Me page or click on some of my social media links 🙂

I hope you enjoy my blog, I’m certainly delighted to have you here, sit, relax & stay awhile; and enjoy some cake!

Nicola (2016)
